How many feet from the net is the serving line in Junior High Volleyball?

I am going to be in Eighth grade and want to practice my overhand serve but don't no how far away to stand from the imaginary net. Also does anyone have any tips to help me get my overhand serve over?

It is 30 feet. USAV (club) has switched to the metric which is 29 feet, but the NFSHSA (high school and junior high rules) has not switched yet.
Your net is 7' 4 1/4" so that you can mark the height you need.
If you are right handed, put your left foot slightly forward. Toss the ball 2 to 3 feet above your head and in front of your right shoulder. Hit it with your palm and your wrist firm. Do not step with your right foot. Only drag your right foot if you need to. No movement is best.
Do 100 tosses without hitting the ball every day. More if you have time.
Start closer to the net at about 10 feet. Get 5 serves over the net and then take 1 step back. If you get it over, take another step back. And so on until you get to the service line.
Part of your problem with serving in physical and can be helped with practice. The other part of your problem is mental. You do not think you can get the serve over, so you can not get the serve over. Starting close to the net and being successful will also help your mental aspect of serving.
