Under insurance regulations, which I think is upheld by all 50 states, there must be insurable interest between you and the homeless guy. If the homeless guy dies, what financial and emotional impact would he have on you? Source(s): http://finance1o1.blogspot.com

I think if you and your friends put as much effort into contributing to society and helping your community you wouldn't have time to come up with a rediculous scheme like this. Good luck finding an insurance company who will write this policy, and good luck being able to afford the premiums if they do.

Sure you can, but you need his cooperation and permission – and, he'd need to submit to a paramedical exam, give blood, open medical records, etc.At his age, if he's in perfect health, you'll be looking at putting in a check for $1,000, before they do the exams. And you'll have to explain to the insurance company, what your "insurable interest" is.

Let me get this straight: you want to buy him a policy? Why? It won't help him at all. It will only help whoever he names as beneficiary of the policy and only when he dies.I do hope you're not thinking about having him name you as his beneficiary.I think you and your friends need a hobby.
