Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Even on individual policies, this is possible, but extremely rare. You have to have a judgment requiring life insurance (ie. to protect child support payments) or a business relationship under contract (in which case you would be insuring against the other party's inability to complete the contract). In either case, you would not be able to insure for the entire loss, so the person is worth more alive than dead.If you own a business together or are domestic partners, this doesn't count. No. No one can take an individual life insurance policy out on you without your knowledge. Your signature is required.A group policy is different and there you do not need a signature. However, even then there is a requirement, I bet, that you have to be married. But if you think someone took out insurance on you without your permission you need to cancel that policy.

Sorry, but all three are wrong. I can sign up for coverage on my spouse and children, through work..and do not need their signatures, medical underwriting, or even their knowledge. Not only for group policies, but also for individual "supplemental" policies as well. Source(s): 21+ years insurance/group benefits

No, they can't. It only happens in the movies. Not only do you have to sign the application, but you have to have a paramedical exam, showing positive photo id, give blood, urine, and saliva samples, and release your medical records.

No, I lost the direct contact from them and I need to cancel the policy.
