It would depend on what your policy states. However most policies will have a clause that will deny payout in the event of suicide, death while committing a felonious act, or death due to committing a felonious act.The last one would more than likely cover someone being executed since the death would be due to committing a felonious act.

They key to answer this question is when was the policy purchased? Most insurers will not issue life insurance on someone who is in prison or who was recently in prison. This is because the risk of death is high.If this policy was purchased long before going to prison there is no doubt in my mind that the benefit will pay out.The only exclusions in most life insurance policy are: 1. Suicide in the first two years (after issue of policy) and 2. misrepresentation in the first two years (after issue of policy). I believe that to be true for almost all life policies in USA and Canada. You'll have to check with the insurance company but I would be surprised if I was wrong. No, suicide or death like that voids life insurance policy. If he wants a quick death, he obviously isnt in california cause if he was he would be on death row for years and years causing us taxpayers to pay for his room and board.

It would depends on how and why they got the death penalty to begin with. And, you would not be able to take out a policy on someone that is in prision. Is that what your thinking? Source(s): http://www.insurance.ca.gov

Suicide or causing one owns premature death usually voids a life insurance policy. Life insurance pays out for sudden or unforeseen death!

Read the policy exclusions.

I don't think so, usually in things like suicide or death brought on by your own actions, you can't collect.

Sure. Unless the policy states otherwise.
