Could I buy an auto insurance without a car?
Could I buy an auto insurance without a car? I have no car yet and I plan to buy a used car from owner. So I would like to rent a car for a week to find a used car. Before I buy my used car, could I buy the auto insurance first? Thanks!

you can get a insurance policy from some insurance companies. it is a non owner insurance policy. it should cover you in any vehicle that is borrowed or rented. the insurance company we have told us we could do this but it cost more than having a car on the policy. you should call an insurance company and ask them about it.

The car rental company will sell you insurance for the duration of the rental, but it's pretty expensive (usually more than the cost of the rental). If nobody can answer your question here, I recommend you call the insurance company and ask. If you, can, it would be much cheaper.

You cant get an insurance policy without all the information, but you should be able to get a quote. For the rented car, the company will arrange for insurance.

No but they can give you a quote of how much it's gonna be for what kind of car.
