Do my parents need to adjust my status in their life insurance policy?
What if I will not tell them that I got married? And I will be buying my own life insurance anyway, with my husband to be.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters They don't need to do anything. If you are looking at getting your own, and you are covered through a child rider, use it to your advantage to convert it to a jumping juvenile policy (5x coverage without proving insurability). You can get more than that but would have to prove your in good health as well as add your husband to it. That is probably the best route.

They don't need to change it unless they want to include your husband/family as beneficiaries.
