How Can You Have A Funeral For Someone With No Life Insurance?
My son's grandfather passed away on friday. We don't have the money to pay for a funeral but would really like to have one he didn't have life insurance.
We live in Norfolk, Va any help is appreciated.
He was in the navy but we don't know if he got kicked out got discharged or what.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Sorry for your loss. You should contact the veteran's benefits and see if he was discharged, as long as he wasn't kicked out they'll pay so much and provide the tombstone. I live in WV and DHHR will help with some of the costs. You should contact your department of health and human resources. Also cremation is much, much cheaper. Sometimes you can find church ran cemeteries that will let you bury him for a small donation.
