How do I collect a life insurance claim?
Ive been trying to collect a life insurance claim from my grandparents who died in 1994, they had it in an account until that i couldnt access until i am 18. Im 17 and i dont know how to find the bank the account was in… I am completely lost here, can anyone help me out?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters It wasn't in a bank account, and you, as a minor, cannot collect it.You need to contact the executor/administrator of their estate, and ask them about it – most likely, it was one of their children. The money would either have been paid to your guardian, or as you mentioned, set up to pay you when you reach a certain age ( and that age isn't usually 18, it's usually older than that). If you don't know who the executor of their estate was, it's a matter of public record, in the probate court where they resided when they were alive.If you're really asking, is there a website you can go to, and type the information in, and find out about the money, the answer to that is no.

Not enough details. Were you in fact the insurance beneficiary? Is the money in a trust account?

Check with the county probate court they lived in 1994,,,, If they set the account up as a trust, which is what is sounds like,, It may have been registered with the court,
