Best Answer – Chosen by Voters If you purchased your policy from CarInsurance.com then you will be able to print your temporary ID card or have it emailed at the end of the process.If you didn't, you can log into your account and your policy documents are available.A paper copy will be mailed to you within 10 days.If you purchased it through Direct General's website they will most likely mail you a copy of your proof of insurance. It should be mailed to you within a few days. You can always call customer service 1(800)627-8003 and request them to mail it, just in case, and have your policy number ready. Or just go visit your local agent, customer service reps can fax one right to the office, or anywhere for that matter. Source(s): Direct General Agent
