Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Unless both the agent and your ex submitted a fraudulent application there is no way a person would have life insurance on you without you knowing. In order for anyone to have an insurance policy on you, you would need to sign the policy and the application would have to be completed with/by you. An agent can't have someone else answer that medical questions etc. Making it even tougher, most companies would ask for a saliva sample or a paramedical which involvs you meeting with a 3rd party person and collecting a physical sample (blood, saliva or unrine) from you to test if you are a smoker or not or to test for diseases or disorders of the liver and/or other htings like HIV.If they did fraudulently create an insurance application, there really wouldn't be anyway to find out other than calling every insurance company to ask if you have a policy in your name. Your ex can't get a policy without your consent, in writing, and you would have had to submit medical history and might have had a medical exam. However, the fact that he called around to find out how you are is very suspicious. You need to report that to the police. Can you move away from him? This sounds very creepy. Good luck. Source(s): retired agent/ parent–this is what I'd tell my own daughter

Generally, a person must have an insurable interest in you in order to get insurance on your life. For purposes of life insurance, everyone is considered to have an insurable interest in their own lives as well as the lives of their spouses and dependents. Business partners or another individual with whom you own property would also qualify. You may insure someone that you are financially dependent upon regardless of blood relationship.

Your story makes zero sense. You cannot purchase life insurance on anyone but yourself or a minor child without the other persons concent. You need to have a blood work and medical screening to get life insurance so if you never did that and signed up for insurace you don't have any. Don't be crazy paranoid and work on your english skills. I am hoping this is not your first language.

You look at the script. Seriously. If you're not a minor, no one can take a policy out on you without your permission, AND some bloodwork, unless you're in the movies and it's in the script. If you signed permission before the divorce, that's irrevokable. If you didn't, he can't take it out on you. Period. You're probably really asking, is there a database where you can look it up. The answer to that is, no. Get a restraining order.
