Be careful. Some companies charge a cancellation fee.And, if you switch make sure you really are getting a better deal. And, by that I mean make sure you have a good agent and that the company pays their claims quickly and fairly. How well a claim is handled when you have one makes all the difference in the world and is well worth the money.

that depends on your company. most auto policies are canceled on whats called short rate. that basically means you pay a penalty to cancel before the term is up. so it depends on how much you have paid into the policy so far. call your agent or company and let them know what you are thinking and they should be able to tell you if you will still owe to the policy or if you might have a small amt coming back.
