If you had life insurance with AIG, would you still against the bailout?
So many people are against the bailout. What if you had insurances with AIG or knew your family had AIG services, would you change your mind about the bailout?
What about autoindustry, would you support the bailout if your spouse or relatives was working there?

You have a good point. But even more important is that AIG needs to be bailed out because if the company went under it would cause a worldwide depression. The company does more than a trillion dollars in business in places like China, Australia and all over Europe. These derivatives markets potentially account for about 531 trillion dollars, more than the whole output on the planet. That is why the globalized economy is falling apart. The problem is that along with the bailout there needs to tough regulations to manage these markets and companies. The government wants to bail them out and have business as usual; that is what I'm against.GM is important because it does employ over 250,000 people, and it would send huge shock waves through the economy if it went under. The auto industry in America needs to be retooled and to start producing quality fuel efficient and alternative vehicles, and that should be part of a bailout plan.

I would be for the bailout in hopes to keep my insurance. But I would definitely look for a new insurer. I think AIG shot themselves in the foot after showing how bad they make their finical decisions. I believe many of their costumers will leave. And if this happened, their bailout wouldn't have been completely in vain because least it gave the costumers who wanted more reliable insurance time to get out.

Yes. If I had life insurance with AIG, i'd immediatley switch companies.if unions didn't bankrupt these companies, we wouldn't have to worry about it. Why don't they take a moderate pay cut to help their industry and keep their jobs. It's rediculous to pay them so much for unskilled labor.

YES i would be against the bailout. let these companies fail so that other companies can learn from their mistakes and not think that they can do whatever they want and that the tax payers will bail them out eventually. END WELFARE FOR THE POOR AS WELL AS FOR THE RICH

i haven't been against the bail out from the beginning just look at all of the jobs that would be lost if we allow these company's to go underbut with the bailouts should come over site

I say let all these corporations crash and burn. They have been doing nothing but screwing people out of their money for years. Source(s): Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.Thomas Jefferson
