What type of life insurance for elderly?
Undecided Question
What type of life insurance for elderly?
I know it is expensive, but what kind of life insurance can I get for someone his age that will help me and my minor son out when my husband dies? Does the life insurance company ask for a birth certificate???
I am so stressed I feel like puking!
Thanks ahead of time!

Im sure there are a lot of Insurance Agents in your area. Ask them what are the best option that you could have. Source(s): I recently got my auto insurance quote from http://www.save489.com/health/ and I saved about $600

lifeinsurance.awardspace.info – try this one. I have their insurance and, as remember, they can provide such a service.

OMG indeed. You can get him a standard life insurance. At 79, expect to pay at least $400 monthly premium for $50,000 coverage amount. Not sure. As for birth certificate, you probably don't need one, but always prepare.Good luck.

You may want to also think about other options. Don't pigeonhole yourself. You should probably think about going to a financial consultant/planner.One option that would probably be good is a reverse mortgage (assuming you are also over 62). You can find out some more information at http://www.goldengateway.com (you won't need to enter any personally identifiable information to get results). Source(s): http://www.goldengateway.com

The insurance company will ask for proof of age. If you can even get insurance it will be very expensive. If your husband worked for a large company, there is a chance he may have had life insurance through his work – ask about this at his former company. If you work, you may be able to get a policy on him as your spouse through your work.If none of these happen, then the last resort is social security. If you are raising a child under age 16, you are eligible for survivor's benefits from social security, and your child will also be eligible for survivors benefits until they turn 19 or graduate from high school. Contact social security (SSA.GOV) for an estimate of how much this monthly payment might be.
