Why Auto Insurance company charge customer more money at the renewal period ?

I am with Progressive auto insurance now and I reach the renewal period, which the company has noticed me. The company charges me with the higher cost than my previous contract though I didn't change anything and I still maintain of being a good driver. I just wonder why they charge higher at the renewal.
