Best Answer – Chosen by Voters They Have The Best Chance Of Any Body To Win The Title Next Season And To Think They Haven't Fully Jelled As A Squad Yet When They Do They'll Even Be Scarier

Well i dont think they can repeat as champion. I dont think they repeat because their player are older. Plus James Posey is gone. Posey is one of the key player that let them win the championship. He is a defensive stopper for a star player. Another reason i dont think they can win a championship because East got tougher. Sixers got Elton Brand which can help sixer become one of the dangerous team in east. Cleveland Cavaliers got a scorer point guard that will help LBJ. Chicago Bulls will get stronger which means they have a chance to beat celtics. but i dont think they can beat them in the playoffs. last but not least, the detroit Piston. Even though piston hasnt been in the finals for a long time, they still have the experience to beat a strong team. so i dont think celtic can repeat, since Lakers and Hornets got stronger. Why not its tougher now though w/ Posey up and bouncing to the Hornets. But, if Darius Miles becomes anything close or exactly what he was in Portland and Los Angeles before the injuries, which was a 14+ ppg, 5+ rpg player than you have a good shot. I thought he was a low risk-possible reward player and was a good move on your part. Same thing, with Patrick O'Bryant I rather have him than Pollard. But, O'Bryant's work ethic and overall game was questioned by Don Nelson. Nelson a great coach would know talent when he sees it.Anyways, Cassell is still capable at his age and would assume role of 6th man. And with Posey gone House and T. Allen would get more minutes. As for the title with the Big 3 still intact and Rondo playing up to par maybe working on his perimeter game a bit more. The Celts have a chance.

I think they have a very good chance to repeat this year. But I still don't think they will. Yes, I would agree that they're not too old. But you cannot ignore the fact that the Celtics didn't get any better this year personnel-wise and too many other teams did improve. On paper, I think the Lakers are the favorite to win it all this year; barring injury.

no they cannot. The guy named Alpha above me is wrong. 1 year can do a lot in age wise. Also they lost there best off the bench player in James Posey to New Orleans. It is extrememly difficult to repeat, thats why San Antonio has never done it.

Didn't they almost lose to Atlanta last year?Answer is NO.Lakers made it to Game 6 of the Finals without Bynum. Now if you put Bynum in the picture, they'll win the Finals in 4.
2.2.2010
hello no they can't do it Again because its really hard to repeat after finally winning your first tittle so that just tells you that kg,ray allen and that cocky idiot that thinks he's better than kobe paul pierce sucks big balls.
2.2.2010
Of course. One year of growing older isn't going to hurt that much.
2.2.2010
No. This is the Rockets year.
2.2.2010
They can, but they wont because of the revamped eastern conference. And improved Western Conference
2.2.2010
They seem like they will be the new dynasty! They will win three in a row.
2.2.2010
i think they willthey have a great starting line up and good bench playersof they lose ill be disappointed
2.2.2010
Yes they can. Losing Posey isn't exactly going to hurt them that bad.
2.2.2010
Oh Yea they will for sure beat down WAck Kobe… KG WE love u, MN is really happy for u…KG DEserves it..
2.2.2010
not when i come to play
2.2.2010
yes they can and will
2.2.2010
no, they have to go through the rockets

Sure they can, barring major injuries. You make some good points, but let's not forget that with Pose gone, Tony Allen will be back in his main role of defensive stopper on the perimeter. Which he was before his injury. Pose was only brought on last year becasue they knew T A was not going to be playing alot after knee surgery. Allen is every bit as good as Pose defensively, he's not the 3 point shooter that Pose was, but he's also alot better taking the ball to the hole. Let's not forget that the C's also have a core of young talent too, Powe, Rondo, Davis, all waiting to be stars in this leauge. And while Perk may never be a star, he has all the tools to be a solid center, and will be for years to come. And KG is never going to let up, neither will Pierce, and as you mentioned Allen is a shooter, all he has to do is shoot. KG is allways going to bring it, he's a Celtic now and has to live up to that, and I think he has taken it seriously. He has to answer to Mr. Russell everyday, how could anybody want to let him down? KG alone will make sure that the C's don't lose their hunger! Now if you listen to the non-believers ( KOBE!! BYNUM IS BACK!! LAKERS ARE THE ONLY TEAM!!!) the team is getting "old' after one year, except it's the same team as last year who didn't have enough 'experience' to win it all. Think about that! One more point….. to those who say they almost lost to atlanta, cleveland in the playoffs last year, they are right! The Celtics had the best thing that could've happened to them happen. They learned not to take anybody for granted, and play with intensity every game. ( they got 'experience') They cruised through the season and thought they were going to cruise through the first few rounds. I bet it won't happen again this year when the playoffs start. They will be there, AND BETTER THAN LAST YEAR.
