You don't necessarily "buy" tee times, as they are essentially the same thing as dinner reservations. It's just a "reservation" @ the golf course. What you'd actually purchase your dad would be greens fees and/or cart fees. I'd say the average green fee and cart fee for a single player would be somewhere between $30-$100, and this is a very loose estimate as courses like Pebble Beach are in the hundreds of dollars. Multiply this # by 4 to cover your dad's foursome and you're easily @ $100.What you may want to do instead is offer to pay for you & your dad to play an 18 hole round together. He could possibly prefer this over having you pay for him & his buddies. Or you may want to go and order him some personalized golf balls with some inside joke on there between you & your dad or something like that.Just some suggestions.

All green fees are per person. There is no group discount that I've ever seen in the hundreds of courses I've played. Call around or search the internet for rates. As mentioned, you're looking at $30 to $100 typically, and I agree with those numbers. Be aware that you can save money by playing in the afternoon as well.

in most cases almost every golf course will charge a per person charge with a golf cart fee is applicable.in certain circumstances you could experience a daily special of some sort which could allow you a discount for a foursome.

Call the pro shop they will be able to tell you everything you need to know. Just a heads up… some courses may only allow groups of 4 and you have 5 so run that by when you call them. Source(s): experience
