Do the Boston Celtics have what it takes?
Alot of people believe the time is now for the Celtics to win it all. Personally I believe they need more help at the point guard slot to even take the east. I have 3 questions :
1.)How far do you think they will go this upcoming year?
2.)Do you think they will win a championship with Pierce, Allen, and Garnett?
3.)Is Pierce ready to share the spotlight and the ball with his new teammates?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters With the additions of Garnett and Allen the Celtics definitly are gonna be a playoff contender this year, especially in the weak eastern confrence. I still don't see them better than Chicago or Detroit at the moment, and even if they make it to the finals they will get crushed by any team from the western conference. Pierce will share the spotlight, especially since with the addition of Allen he will be more of a small forward than shooting guard.

1. The Celtics will win the Atlantic Division, and advance to the East Finals.2. The Celtics cannot gurantee a series win against Chicago, Cleveland, or Detroit. They cannot guarantee a series win against Houston, Utah, or Denver. They will definitely lose to San Antonio, Phoenix, or Dallas. No Championship3. Pierce has to share the spotlight. Garnett's shadow is big enough to overwhelm both Allen and Pierce combined. The Celtics need a decent point guard, a blue-collared center. and about an entire bench.

well the thing is now they dont have any good back ups whatsoever so they have a chance to make the playoffs but they dont have the cap room to get any decent players unless one of the 3 awesome players that they have leaves then they can have cap and sign at least 2 or 3 decent players

1) they could go to the finals if the chemistry is good2)yes, if the bench players step up3)Pierce is not a ball hog. he played w/ Antoine Walker(a guy who shoots almost as many 3's as anyone else in the league)

1) It depends on how they come together. 1st round if they play individual ball, as far as the conference finals if they pull together. Why not a championship? While I expect they can gel offensively, not sure who will be running the offense – probably Doc from the sidelines. They need a solid point to run this team.2) They can, but again, who will run the team? Even if they can run an effective offense, can they play defense?3) I think Pierce will be fine. He ought to know you have to win to even get the spotlight. If they don't win, things fall appart. but thats expected.

I think they might go second round but I dont think they will win it and I think Paul is willing to share the light I know he happy he has a better team

they can if they have backup and the backup do their job and everybody stay healthy

1. The NBA Finals, not going to be easy but should be able to get there.2. If they can co-exist, then most definitely.3. He better be. He might want to learn from the situation with Antoine Walker, who by the way has a ring.
