It all depends on the person. Like anyone that does it professionally it would be a sport to them because they take it seriously. Now the person that just does it for fun they are there to have fun so it would be different for them.

Volleyball is just as physical as basketball or soccer. Pretty much every muscle I can think of is used intensely. Ever watch competitive matches?Golf is very physical but not as much. It's repeating a motion which takes a lot of skill, and uses a lot of muscles, including arms, shoulders, hip, and legs. It's definitely a sport. Go out on the driving range and hit a few hundred balls and chances are your arms and shoulders will be sore all over.Bowling is harder to define. You can be a decent bowler without using much physical power, relying just on accuracy to score, but to consistently average high scores you do need a lot of physical power. Muscles used include wrist, hips, and upper leg and some arm. I'd say it's a sport due to the above (and because I bowl) but there're plenty of counter-arguments.And it does depend on how seriously you take them. If you just play volleyball on the beach once in a while of course it's not going to be much of a workout for you. Same goes with mini-golf, or going to the bowling center and just playing a couple of games for fun.Sam, race car driving is most definitely a sport because you need to be very strong and fit to withstand the G-forces in the car and maintain a general sense of orientation and control. I don't really think curling is, though.

Golf is a sport, volleyball is kinda, bowling is an activity. You take a date bowling, you don't take a date to play football right?
