Do you think ill make my high school golf team?
Ive been playing for two years, and go out on the course sometimes. On a par 4 or 5 course, i get areound 7.
With a driver, I can hit a little more that 100. And my balls fly pretty straight, and not slice.
Is that bad? Ive never tryed out or played competitivley, but i reall ywant to do golf. Any tips or suggestions?

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters it depends on the other players at your school. that's about what i shot when i made my high school team, but it's different everywhere.

I say that you should go for the tryouts. It' apparent to me that you are not going to set any club records this year but everybody started out at the same place. The fact that you only hit the ball a hundred yards with your driver is a definite shortcoming ,although the fact that you hit it straight is a plus,and should give the coach something to work with.

don't know how good other golfers are at your school but i would guess noyour school golf team will most likely be made up of individuals who have played for more than two yearswith a driver 100 yards isn't much. many players of all kinds of different skill levels would be hitting a 9 iron 100 yards or morei encourage you to continue playing as much as you can. as you play more you may find you distance and scoring ability will improvemaybe try the golf team again when you have played more

I would have to say NO because you dont drive very far most peopledrive on average 200 yards to 250.Once you can make some pars and or bogey every other hole I would say you dont have a chance.
