Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Natural Golf blows. While Moe Norman was an incredibly gifted golfer and ball striker, the method that purports to copy his swing is contrived (certainly not "natural") and ill advised. The PGA Tour is pure swing theory capitalism. That is, if there's a method that's better or different but equally effective (see: "Stack and Tilt" and Aaron Baddeley) you can bet that someone will be using it out there. How many top golfers on the PGA Tour or Nationwide Tour can you name that are Natural Golf converts? None. Enough said.

I tried it and I think it is a good system. The first time out after watching the video I hit 2 flag sticks flag sticks on 2 of the 4 par 3's. I also lost distance and went back to the conventional style. I used my standard clubs and not the natural clubs that are designed for the natural swing. That might make a big difference. Good luck to you. Hope you can get back into this great game.

Yes, I have tried it. 'Natural Golf' is a single plain swing system based on the swing of former PGA Tour Professional Moe Norman. Norman was one of the most accurate if not the most accurate ball striker of all time… he was also very autistic. In fact, Tiger Woods told Golf Digest a few years ago that "only two golfers in history "owned their swing": Moe Norman and Ben Hogan." Norman was very socially dysfunctional and unconcerned with money… which is why you probably have never heard of him. If you like a good story, do a little research on him on the internet, I think you'll find him a very interesting character. Check out the video link below for more. The swing itself is very non-traditional and very odd-looking compared to most swings… but it does work. The only drawback I found was that I lost distance as well as picking up a fairly low trajectory. If you are looking for an easily repeatable swing, and increased accuracy, I do suggest trying the Moe Norman method. Source(s): http://www.r2r.ca/mov/moenorman.mov

No but I get a kick out of watching people swing that way. How many tour players swing like that? Ok…that should answer your question.

I'm not crazy about it, but you might find it helps with your condition, beats sitting at home. Good luck.
