My dh has been in the golf industry for a long time. This is what he says to do. Go to the golf course of your choice meet the pro and tell him what you are looking for and of your experience. If he doesn't have a job for you as an assistant pro (there are several at any gc) he can direct you to a course that can use you. most pros network so they know whats going on around in the area.

Honestly, you do not want a sales job in the golf industry. There are very few desirable positions and they get snapped up pretty quickly. If you really want to play a lot of golf get a sales job in medical or insurance. Every private club I know has lots of medical and ins reps, and they play lots of golf!
