How do I get a golf handicap and enter tournaments?
I live in Missouri City TX. a suberb of houston and have been playing alot more golf lately. I would like to get a handicap so that I can play in tounaments. How do I go about doing this? Do I have to play with someone as a witness and sign the card?

Most if not all of your area public courses will have a men's club that plays an organized game on regular days and times. Joining one of these clubs will be relatively cheap ($100 or less), give you a set game to play in and usually bring with it handicapping services. Then you simply turn in your scores and they do the rest.If you do not wish to join a group, most courses will have a charge to just do your handicap for you. Probably around $40 a year. But I really encourage you to find a course with a large and active men's club to play in.
