read the break honestly… plenty of golfers (myself included) have been guilty of under-reading the amount of break. When you see the line, look for a "mark"- maybe a dead spot of grass, a single blade of grass, anything that catches your eye- 6 inches in front of your ball. Line your putter face up to that, which is much easier than lining it up with the hole. The good news is, you can use this anywhere on the course to help with your aim. for a full swing, i lay a club parallel to my target line between the ball and my feet, keep your toes parallel to that club. to draw the ball (right to left flight), drop your right foot back a couple inches, close the clubface a bit and swing along the target line. to fade it (left to right), drop your left foot back, open the clubface, and swing along the target line. you can do this for putting too, i lay 2 clubs apart the width of the putter and try to seing without hitting the clubs. groove your stroke and your aim will improve.

Not sure if you're asking about putting or the full swing.Either way I like to use a intermediate target. Here is how I do it. I stand behind the ball and determine the line of flight or roll and then find a mark on the tee box, fairway or green than is on the intended line but within a few feet of the ball. Then when I come around to address the ball I make sure the club, the ball and the mark are all on the same line.Works for me. Picking out some outstanding mark, whether it be a blade of grass, or spot on the ground in front of the ball which lines up with the direction of your intended flight.. That is the easiest method. Stand behind the ball and pick that point. When driving , before you tee off, find a divot a prior golfer made and use that as part of your aiming procedure.

u can make sure your swinging straight into the ball cuz i have a tendency off comming across the ball so im cutting from the outside to in ont the ball so i often have a slice.
