Previous poster spot on with points, but you need to take your handicap into account. You usuall get 3/4 of your handicap for a stableford competition. You then need to look at the Stroke Index (S.I.) for the hole. If you have a 16 handicap, you get 3/4 of it, means you have an allowance of 12. So for every hole with a stroke index of 12 or less you get 1 shot knocked off your actual score for that hole. So if you took 5 shots on a par 4 with Stroke Index 8, you would knock 1 shot off the 5 to give you 4. This is the par so you would get 2 points for that hole. Good luck with the game, you lucky man!
