Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Yeah i don't know much but i own a couple of resturants. If their is demand (surveys) and no supply i would go for it. Goog look also put in a good proshop if thier isnt one of those around. Remember do you have the money to start t and how much are people willing to play?

If you can't figure out what it would take to break even i wouldnt try. Take the cost of your golf balls and the cost to pay someone to pict them up. Then add the cost of keeping up the grass on the range tee box. Most people wont want just a range, they expect a putting and chipping green as well. You need a special mower for both the tee and the green, look into what they cost. You can help profits by selling clubs or balls or offering a club maintenance service. All in all…you'll never know if you can make it until you open your doors…but before you do you will have to invest a cool 75k at least. good luck

If it is "unmanned" then I think it would do fairly well as long as it is a good location and visible to passing automobiles. http://www.myphonedied.com

I think if you have 200 members at your course then those people will want to warm up first at a driving range. 3 Miles is somewhat close to the course and I think it would be great.
