Lots of courses in So Cal are run by American Golf Corporation and they sell range cards to be used in their dispensers. The average cost is about $0.08 (eight cents) per ball and typically a $20 range card will give you about 250 balls (about five buckets). There is a small discount included as you purchase higher amount cards. Usually, high end courses will include range with their green fees or you may be able to purchase practice time. Going to your typical municipal course, you can usually purchase a bucket for anywhere from $4 to $7.

I live in Southern Cali. It cost from $6 to $9. It also depends on the time (after 5 pm) and day (weekends).I go to Monterey Park, Almansor (Alhambra), and Arroyo Seco (Pasadena). Let me know if you want to play golf. I'm still a beginner and looking for golf buddies to play with.

Call the course which has the range and inquire. Many private country clubs have the range plan as part of the membership fee. At others, there ia a charge based on the size of the bucket which runs from $ 4.00 for small to $ 8.00 for large.
