well, it depends …. my coach charges me 60 dollars per lesson…his normal rate….and thats for one hour with video analysis…200 dollars for 6 lessons is one heckuva deal…but idk because if your teacher is offerin that kinda of deal…he may be desperate because of the lack of students.the money does reflect the skill…but thats probably more true as the cost gets into the hundreds…aka hank haney for 500 dollars an hour sorta thinggood luckand dont take all 6 at once..PLEASEi would spread them out…maybe once a month…that way you get to practice and perfect what he/she tells you…i would say the lesssons should last you about 5 months at least. another tip: dont only practice your swing everytime…i would recommend 3-4 lessons on the swing and 1 one short game/bunker and definetly one on puttinggood luck and keep the ball in the short grass.

great price! but don't worry, they gotta know what they are doing. (or else they wouldn't have a card)

Sounds good, ESPN Golf Schools also have something where they teach you basics, analyze your swing and you recieve vouchers for 3 Nike Golf Clubs hence the name 3 club golf tour

take it.

That's about what I paid. I recommend getting an instructor who is about the same height as you. It makes learning the mechanics easier.

The price is actually secondary. If you don't apply what you've been taught and practice and practice and practice, the money didn't mean much. If you take a couple of lessons and are shooting in the 80's then the course you're playing isn't very challenging. The real expense is in actually playing. I've played many courses throughout the US and where I live golf is a bargain. People that don't play many different courses would think that the courses I play are expensive. The major commitment is time. Not only the five hours to play a round of 18 holes but you have to practice to achieve a respectable level of golf talent. It's the greatest sport because it's you against the course and it will bring out anyone's true characteristics. Play and enjoy it but play well and enjoy it even more.

That is a pretty reasonable price if he teaches you things. Some people learn differently so he may be a good instructor, but you may not learn from him.

The Pros at my local driving range charge $100 per lesson (about 1 hour). The more lessons you buy in advance the cheaper it gets. 6 lessons for $200 is a deal by my standards and I would jump at it.All you need is someone good enough to improve your game. If your seeing positive results from the lessons then it's all good.

Around the Chicago area…$90 to $100 per hour seems to be the standard rate for 1 on 1 lessons. If you've never taken lessons, try "group" lessons with an instructor to see if you like him/her. Most instructors will do group lessons where you pay for a block of maybe 5 lessons and there might be 8 to 10 in the group. The more popular the instructor, the more $$$ they charge.
