I was the exact same way!! But, I don't know that I want to become a pro lol — its my dream but I don't know if it will happen, my goal for right now is to get a college scholarship.I have an uncle on the PGA Tour and many cousins who are pros and they all gave me the same advice… Start by taking lessons – go to a golf course by your house and ask for the pro.. then talk to him/her about getting started. You HAVE to take lessons! In-between lessons… practice, practice, practice… that is the huge mistake I made. I didn't pracitce and I didn't get better. But then the pro told me if I don't practice, I won't get any better — so, I started to practice on a daily basis and the difference was amazing!! All you can do for now, is take lessons and practice like crazy! And when I say practice, I mean like you can't say you are going to and not do it. It is necessary — and you have to do it everyday if you are serious about playing a lot. Once you get through the first 4 or 5 lessons.. .you should be able to go to the range and hit the ball well without having to stop at your waist or anyting. Practice, practice practice, and try to find ways to play competitively on your level. High school team, or junior golf program. Its a very democratic pursuit – if you get good enough they have to let you play.

Its not too late, but the main thing is PRACTICE. Atleast 3-4 times a week. Since women's golf is not very popular, many colleges want these women, and are giving out full rides just to play for the team. Golf is a great sport and can be played for the rest of your life. GOOD LUCK
