Best Answer – Chosen by Voters A golf shirt with a collar. Unsure of what constitutes acceptable clothing for a game of golf? Sticking to name brand golf wear is a very safe bet. Shorts are OK, but they must be designed for golf; not gym shorts or cut-offs. They should be no shorter than just above your knees. Denim apparel is usually not appropriate. Pants and/or shorts should have belt loops, but no cuffs since they trap dirt. Wear a leather belt. The belts that Tiger wears, with a silver tip, are stylish. Golf clothes are often bright and colorful, but you don’t need to wear all the colors at the same time! Colors are like kids and employees. Some work together, and get along just fine; others always fight. Choose one bright color and pair with neutrals (tan, black, white). Maybe the first time you play with your boss a classic combination of brown or blue with khaki would be a wise choice. And only one plaid (or patterned) element in your attire, please! Wear proper golf shoes – not running shoes, or sandals! Just about every country club on the planet has switched from metal spikes to require soft spikes or a “built-into-the-sole” tread design. Bring a pair of street shoes. You may be having lunch or a drink in the clubhouse afterwards. Change into your golf shoes in the locker room, not at your car in the parking lot. If you’re wearing long pants the socks should match your trousers. If you opt for shorts, wear light colored socks with white or saddle style shoes; black socks with black shoes. The black socks and shoes looks slightly nerdy, but if you want to wear black shoes with shorts that’s the best combo! Hats are a good idea. They help keep the sun off your face, and may improve your vision. Either baseball style or straw golf hats are appropriate. If you’re playing in cooler weather (like most 6 am tee times!) a golf sweater, vest, or jacket is practical. Source(s): http://www.usedgolfballdeals.com/?Click=…

Dress for a Pro Golf Event 1.Dress conservatively, but keep it comfortable. Not only will you be spending many hours outdoors, but you are likely to do a lot of walking and standing around. Whether you are a player or a spectator, make sure you feel comfortable in your clothes before you head out to the course. 2.Dress "formal casual," a term that has grown to mean sporty clothes that have a formal or high-quality look. Cargo shorts can be dressy if they are pleated and made of materials such as twill. Polo shirts are usually the standard for upper-body dressing, especially in solid colors or stripes with solid collars. 3.Don't get carried away with accessories. A cap is fine as are plain sport socks. However, if you start adding golf-motif accessories by the dozen, it will end up looking tacky and overdone. During a pro golf event, you want to project a professional image not look like a fan. 4.Bring a jacket or windbreaker along. Pro golf events tend to last several hours, and being on an open field puts you at the mercy of the elements. Keep in mind also that wind is the most important factor on a golf course and that it can influence the temperature and the feel drastically. 5. Keep it formal if you are a spectator rather than a player. Pro golf events are attended by VIP guests, the press and other professionals. Even if you are not playing, you will be in touch with others in your field and you certainly want to make the best impression. View a picture or film of the late Payne Stewart. Enough said. Oh, try to match his demeanor, golf swing, and score. Good Luck!
