Hmmm…. Titleist is a good alternative for Pro V's??? Way to go moron, and just who makes pro v's? Dummy… Listen, a good high end ball to compete with the pro v and x are Callaway HX Tour 56's… but these are usually the same price. The new bridgestone ball is pretty good too, as well as the Nike One Platinum or black…These fools talking about noodles and so-lo's are not even close… Source(s): golf pro for my whole career.

for a bargain ball (25 and under)I recommend Srixon trispeed, Callaway HXHot, for a mid priced tour performance ball(under 30) the Maxfli Fire, and for a premium ball at a premium price(of course the pro v line) Bridgestone 330s, taylor made TP red, Callaway HX tour 56, Srixon Z-Ur-c (all between 40 and 45)

Top Flite D2's are very good balls for the money you spend on them. I've played them and the ProV1 and honestly I like the D2 much more.

check out Maxfli Noodle and other Maxfli balls. another nice ball is Spalding Top Flight for everyday play. it's not expensive and the balls are quite good for the money.

I do good with teitelist dt/solo's. They have a great feel off the drive, and are pretty forgiving on hard or soft greens. Other than that I use anything with a soft feel….just suits me best.
