What is a good left hand golf driver?
I want to buy a driver for my 20 year old brother for his birthday. I am looking to spend around $200, he is a lefty, and relatively new to golf, through he is taking lessons to improve. I would like to get him a good driver, not a beginners one (if there is such thing) but I know absolutely nothing on the subject. So I was wondering what would be a good driver to buy? I don't care about brand… Any help would be much appreciated.

Best Answer – Chosen by Voters buy a Titleist driver from this years models or last year, but buy it used! It will be a lot cheaper and look just like new and it will perform just as good as the new one too. I pick Titleist because it is by far the best brand in golf chosen by the pros.

You'd be far better off to go to a golf retailer and get him a gift certificate for $200. Golf club selection is very much a personal choice and picking a club for somebody else is not a great idea. Maybe get him a birthday card that is a golf theme and put the gift certificate inside.

Stthings's on to something. I love my Nike SQ 5000. I bought it when it was $300, but it was recently reduced to $199.There are so many choices, though. Take him to a Dick's sporting goods, or your local pro shop and let him hit a bunch of them. Get him fit for his new driver (length, flex and lie angle) so he can completely enjoy his new club. what a great sister!

I like Nike SQ's. But i think they might be over $300.

Taylormade Burner 07 model. No doubt. It's 199 and in my opinion, 1 of the best on the market.
