Best Answer – Chosen by Voters No, it is never to late to start the sport, they have all avenues to pursue, look at the champions tour, you can be a professional tour pro over the age of 50 if you want. and still be a rookie. golf is for all ages and all skill levels.

Unless you have some kind of incredible talent that has gone unnoticed for 23 years, I would say that becoming a Professional Golfer is probably not going to happen.Sorry to be blunt, but I've been playing for 30 years, I'm pretty good (5 handicap) and I'm nowhere near the level of the guys on the tour (either PGA or Nationwide). It's just not a game that you pick up in 3 years at that level.
