Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Well, in high school golf, there's really no such thing as teamwork aside from the occasional pep talk before a round. High school golf is one sport that needs to include statistics. They do it in football, baseball, basketball, track & field, tennis, etc, but aside from a final score from each player, and then a final team score…, that's it.If you're doing a yearbook spread, you definitely don't want to bore everyone to death with two or three paragraphs on determination & teamwork – that's what all the other boring yearbook spreads look like for all the other sports. If you want to stand out, get more up close photographs of the golfers in action. Pictures of them hitting shots in competition, you know, in the moment kind of stuff. The straight forward team picture is what you see in every yearbook, and maybe, at best, you'll find a picture of one or two of the seniors too, but that's it. Why not ask the players where a good place on their high school home course would be to take a picture, or maybe ask them if they'd like to be photographed during a tournament while on the course.Ask each player what they felt was their best tournament/match/moment as an individual, AND as a team. Find out if the coach ever played high school golf and ask the coach to compare coaching to playing back in the day as a kid. You hit the nail on the head when it comes to asking the players about their keys to success in golf, but I wouldn't hint to the patience/determination/teamwork side of it yourself. Ask them what their keys to success & consistency are in golf, if they practice any drills, how often to get to practice, if they're considering college golf. For me, high school golf was ten times better than college golf and professional golf. It's only 4 years, and for most, it's a time when you really start to develop your golf game, both physically & mentally. You know, when you start to figure out what works for your golf swing and what doesn't. One last thing, definitely ask the seniors what their greatest memory of high school golf will be, what their greatest accomplishment was (individually and as a team over the years) and what they'll miss most. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, feel free to visit my [very basic] website and click on 'contact us' and I'll get back to you asap.www.freewebs.com/egolf

If you want a readable article just stick to the facts that the team started its season with returning veterans Harry, jim and Joe,joined by ——-,—–,and ——– who qualified from a group of 20 aspirants. Their first match was against —— at—— which was won—- to —-. Give a few other stats, mention the coach and his response to the number of wins, the tournaments in which they participated, their finishes in league play if they are part of any. The staff of the yearbook congratulates the team and their efforts. You might also point out the star of the team. Source(s): That is it. Wrote the golf summary for both the high school and college teams and kept them short and sweet. All this will be under a picture , correct?

I think high school golf teams are successful when players hang in there as much as they can even when they're not playing up to their normal standards. It's when golf becomes even more of a mind game. Not really sure where to go with interview questions. I would maybe ask for their most memorable moment, shot, round, etc. Personally, when I play in competitions, interesting things can happen.

The best things for a team is to all have the same positive attitude going into a match and tell them that nothing is completely their fault. I'm the captain of my team and I know that these things are very important to do well.
