Best Answer – Chosen by Voters There is no one person who can teach you all aspects of the game some people know more than others but its all about how you interact with the pro. No title is important if you and your pro are not on the same page. People that offer video taping are good choices because they can pick apart your full swing. However, many places that video tape only work on your full swing make sure that they also offer short game help that is the most important part of the game Source(s): 5 handicap

Usually when I see an instructor for the first time, I can immediately tell if I am going to agree with them or not. If you think what the instructor is saying is total bs then you will never fully practice they way they want you to. Find an instructor who has a good rep. and see if you agree with the majority of what he says. Then just commit to practice. Video sometimes help but usually it makes you overadjust and the swing changes daily.

Find some people who have taken lessons from the instructor. Get their opinion. Ask around to see which instructor they would recommend. Call your local PGA office to see who they would recommend who is within your area.
