Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Keep your swing in tune over the winter. I can't tell you how many times it has taken me a few weeks to get my swing back in the spring over the long winter. I am a 2 handicap and could be lower had I done more over the winter earlier. The best thing to do is hit the driving range few times a week. Don't overdo it, it might cause a burnout affect. Lift and train your core muscles especially. Try to improve your strength and flexibility over the winter its the best time to do it without messing with your swing. Good luck.

Don't change the amount of time you practice. Just change what you practice. It may mean fewer trips to the range, but I think even taking a 5 gallon bucket to the backyard and chip into the bucket or putting on the carpet…anything to keep your mind thinking GOLF. Going thru the motions like putting on carpeting will help keep your brain in tune.
