What to do to modify my MK4 Volkswagen Golf GTI?
Hello. I have a 1999.5 model MK4 Golf GTI. The color is indigo blue, which is a really dark blue. It is a 2 door. I want to add some aftermarket items on it that aren't too expensive or difficult to install. I already have tinted windows and aftermarket rims. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to spend a lot of money, so please help. Thank you!

All of your questions will be answered at http://www.goapr.com/ I have an 06' and just got my car back two weeks ago, now it is a Stage III. It is the best 8 grand I have ever spent! My car looks stock other than the tips on my tailpipe are polished now. I raced an STI two nights ago and bent his doors backwards. Seriously for $600 a stage one ECU alone will put you at 240-250. Intake and exhaust and you are looking at 270-280 in a GTI. I had mine dynoed at 342bhp at the wheels. But that sounds like more than you want to spend. The intake, ECU, and exhaust should be under 2000. Well worth it

a good place to start is an aftermarket intake and exhaust systems. both are bolt-ons and normally come with pretty good instructions if you have never done these kind of upgrades before. they are not as expensive as a lot of other items out there, but make sure to shop around as a lof of places will rip you off jacking up the prices. a good place to get some upgrade ideas are car magazines like hte Modified Maggood luck
