Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Well, for your height, you will have to use a Men's set, which are more expensive than Junior sets. A great set is Slazenger. It's not as well known as Taylormade or Titleist, but it is a great brand that is run by Dick's Sporting Goods, and makes great clubs.http://www.golfgalaxy.com/galaxy/product…I think you should use a steel shaft set, because those are designed for people with slower swing speed, and beginners usually have slower swing speeds. Another great thing about it is that it includes 2 hybrids. Hybrids are probably the most important club to a novice golfer. They have great forgiveness but still allow you to hit it far. I would recommend getting a 3 hybrid over a 3 wood if you ever have the option getting a wood.Another great thing about this set that it includes everything you need: Driver, Wood, Hybrids, Irons, Wedges, and a putter and bag. It's really a great set. You can find them at any golf store such as GolfSmith, Dick's Sporting Goods, or Golf Galaxy.I don't suggest places like Walmart and Target because those are where you will find the extremely bad quality clubs, and you will be lucky to find even a brand name golf ball there, let alone legitimate clubs

Titleist AP2 Iron Set. Titleist AP2 irons provide a comfortable and confidence-inspiring appearance in the set up position with a traditional blade profile and hosel junction. The metallic back cavity plate contributes to the AP2's great looks and bag appeal.it is $298.99 at this site: http://www.clubgolfsale.com/goods-447-Ti… Source(s): http://www.clubgolfsale.com/goods-447-Ti…

Look into Adams, Nickent, and Tour Edge. They all make quality starter sets. Make sure they have the 3 and 4 hybrids instead of irons. They are much easier to hit. Steel shafts have better accuracy, graphite shafts have greater distance and a bit pricier. Don't go to a big box store to buy your clubs. It's no fun watching your club head flying off the shaft and going further than your ball!
