Florida there are cheap greens fees and it's technically summer everyday! I go there to play golf every year!

There is no one best state for golf, Every region has great courses both public and private. Some have much shorter seasons than others, but that is no reason to eliminate them. Florida , Arizona and the southern tier states get so hot at times that unless you like " blast furnaces " you stay in air conditioning. As for course design, membership fees much depends upon the economy, the popularity of the course and the combined amenities. Generally, golf in the US is a good experience.

Hey , I live in Augusta GA and the climate is pretty good – this summer we only had a few 100 degree days. There are a lot of course choices within 30 – 45 min drive but more importantly, cost of living is extremely cheap and golf is very affordable. Source(s): golf professional

South Carolina. The Myrtle Beach area. You can play most of the year. So many courses to choose from; not the most in the U.S., but a nice amount and not overly expensive.
