Best Answer – Chosen by Voters Titleist or Nike

Alicia is slightly uninformed about Tiger Woods. He switched from a Titleist ball to a Nike ball citing the Nike ball was better. He switched back to a Titleist driver from a Nike driver because his contract allowed him to do so. That switch was shortlived. I use a Nike ball because you save strokes in your short game and the One Platinum and One Black have 2 of the 3 fastest spin rates of any ball made. A ball that has a high spin rate off a wedge is beneficial in getting the ball to stop close to the hole. The One Tour and One Tour D replace the One Black and One Platinum this year, but you can still get '08 One Platinum and One Black at a very good price. Bridgestone makes nice golf balls as well.

It's kind of like a question where if you don't know the answer, you don't need to ask it. If you don't already know that the Pro-V1 or Pro-V1X is the best ball available, then any rock out of your bag is ok for you.People talk alot about spin and softness, but in reality, only really good golfers will know the difference and make a ball "work" to its fullest ability. But if you want to drop 50 bucks on a dozen balls and then top them into the nearest lake, be my guest.

i think Tiltliest is the best .Tiger Woods was also contracted with Titleist before moving to Nike, when the Nike contract began Woods refused to use the Nike drivers for a long time and continued to use his Titleist one. To this day Woods still does not use all Nike clubs, he still carries around a Titleist putter. Source(s): http://www.golfballnut.com/ProductDetail…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titleist

Titleist is the name in golf balls offering some product for every golfer, pro or duffer. Contact your pro shop. Most every ball offered today is a playable product. It is a matter of personal preference which one you will use.

If you want a cheaper version, go with Noodle Soft & Long. They feel just like a Pro V1, but obviously, not as good. We're all amateurs here, we don't need to pay more for something that won't get us that much better.

Id recommend some pro v 1s for playing comps but for a practice round a bag of lake balls will do the trick!!
