What is the difference between a net book and notebook?
We are buying a laptop and the smallness is very convenient for us, so we like the net book. The main goal for the computer we want is internet and microsoft office. Would a net book work the same as the laptop?

Netbooks tend to be a lot smaller and cheaper than notebooks. They really aren't recommended as being someone's primary machine. Netbooks tend to trade off things like CD/DVDROM drives for better battery life and being more light-weight. They'd be great for takings notes in class or other less intensive computing activites, writing papers, web surfing, etc.
Notebooks tend to have faster, dual core processors, DVDRW drives, but tend to be heavier, have shorter battery lives, get hotter and therefore need more battery power and fans to cool themselves down, have bigger screens, and are therefore more expensive.
So buy what suites your needs best
