What is the difference between dog food and cat food?
Oh my god! It's against nature! But yeah, I ran out of dog food so I gave my mangy mutt some whiskas for dinner.
I know they have different nutritional needs, but i don't get how one vomitous can of mincemeat is different from any other can of mincemeat.
I'm a supervisor in a pet and human food plant and i can tell you that the difference between cat food and dog food is very little. There is nutritional differences but basically all cat and dog food is water, glycerin, lycasin, animal fate and oil (like tuna poultry bovine and hog) and finally feed, that would be you basic flour or corn meal. Canned wet animal food is animal fat and meat with added vitamins. no it wont hurt to do it once or twice
I think it's just the size of the morsels
My dogs LOVE cat food! I always had to keep the cat food out of my dogs reach or it would be gone!
I know cat food has quite a bit of oil in it and is primarily fish. I have also seen tiny bits if fish bones in cat food…I'm talking about wet food. Dog food is either primarily corn or wheat (poor quality) or meat. (beef, chicken, lamb-(good quality)
Dogs have sensitive stomachs. It could have just been that it upset his/her stomach. Nothing to worry about.
Actually dog food is made from cats and cat food is made from dogs. soilent green is for all kind
if they were the same . they have written on it . cats and dogs food .
I think basically dogs and cats may have the same dietary needs but maybe just different levels of proteins and vitamins in the foods it's the same as they have biscuits for senior cats, indoor cats, fur ball prevention etc people have actually told me their dogs eat their cat's biscuits so I suppose it doesn't matter giving them cat food if there isn't anything else available, however I should let you know there is a bit of concern about feeding animals caned food it is probably better to feed them the packed dog/cat mince you see in the refrigerated section in your supermarket.
